Jonathan Booth and his experienced team offer detailed investigation of environmental conditions, decay mechanisms and structural stability based on surveys and periods of monitoring. They provide a client-focussed consultancy service based on their investigations, including full specifications, conservation reports and recommendations.
They are regularly responsible for the development phase of projects including budget planning, initial reports, statements of significance, and applications for grant funding.
Jonathan Booth’s experience in the conservation of historic buildings, and natural stone draws on a unique combination of both the academic and the practical. Jonathan joined the RIBA as a Chartered Architect in 2001 and later joined the CIOB as a Chartered Building Manager in 2018. He is currently a Conservation Registrant with the RIBA and an affiliate member of the IHBC.

An unusual skill set
The team comprising of skilled, carvers, masons, bricklayers and conservators – as well as specialist partners – has a proven ability to deliver on projects of all types and sizes, from complete church restoration, stone or brick, church monuments of national significance to small churchyard tombs, headstones and fragments of boundary walls.
We are unusual in that our report writing and survey work, is always informed by our experience in actually running conservation projects. We often run contracts from initial survey to final completion. Clients find us cost effective, as our technical reporting is informed by a practical understanding of project management.
We have an unusually broad combination of skills, experience and expertise – bringing together the academic, practical and creative disciplines necessary to solve not just technical, aesthetic but also financial issues in close collaboration with our clients.
